Bio
Troy found his passion working with wood since the age of fourteen. He is a
cabinetmaker by trade who took an interest in woodturning and followed in his
Grandfather’s footsteps when he inherited his Grandfather’s lathe in 1997. Give Troy some wood and he is sure to craft something unique out of it! Each of his creations are original and display their own personality, style and charm.
Troy has a preference for combining exotic and domestic woods to achieve beautiful contrasts, using both traditional and contemporary designs to create stunning and imaginative pieces of art. His wooden wonders are created in his home workshop where he resides in Ennismore, Ontario. He enjoys developing his designs in this rural setting. Troy lives by the motto that “a bad day woodworking is better than a good day working”.
